The dual-drive option in the FY-SS02 600 class

FY-SS02-600D is the published dual-drive, dual-shaft option in the FY-SS02 600 class. It provides a configuration route to review when the single-drive starting point does not fit the material and process requirements.

The drive power, cutters and feed arrangement are defined for the project. The 600D name does not establish a standard motor rating, capacity or feed opening. Begin with the waste stream and required result, then compare the proposed configuration with the 600S route.

Describe why the dual-drive route is being considered

The 600D review should connect the proposed drive arrangement with the actual cutting task. Explain which feed conditions, difficult pieces or operating requirements need assessment instead of treating another drive as an automatic increase in useful production.

Resistant pieces
Photograph thick, dense or difficult sections and provide their composition and maximum dimensions.
Changing load
Describe whether the stream is consistent or contains occasional demanding batches. Include normal contamination and loading interruptions.
Acceptance criteria
State the required output and operating pattern, including how the downstream equipment receives the reduced material.

Review the drive arrangement alongside the cutter system

The dual-shaft cutting route still depends on material engagement, tearing and shearing, followed by effective discharge. Review the proposed drives, cutters and control response together with the loading method.

  1. Agree the material preparation and loading arrangement for normal and difficult batches.
  2. Review the proposed cutter geometry and drive configuration against the actual feed.
  3. Confirm the specified overload and reversal behaviour as part of the control review.
  4. Assess the resulting output and the ability of collection or downstream equipment to receive it.

Specify the cutting task for the dual-drive review

Describe the difficult pieces, their construction and how frequently they occur. Include material variations as well as the usual feed. The review should connect the drive choice with cutter geometry, loading, protection logic and discharge, rather than treating two drives as a complete specification.

  • Material composition, normal and maximum dimensions, weight and thick or resistant sections.
  • Embedded metal, stones, moisture and other contaminants that may require preparation.
  • Manual or mechanical loading, required output and downstream equipment.
  • Available power supply, operating hours, maintenance access and installation limits.

Keep motor ratings separate from the 600S reference

The 11 kW reference belongs to FY-SS02-600S and does not specify either 600D motor. Confirm both motor ratings and the operating conditions in the project quotation.

Does dual drive mean twice the throughput?

No fixed relationship is established. Capacity must be reviewed with the actual material, feeding method, cutter configuration, output requirement and duty. Agree representative material and acceptance criteria for the proposed machine.

Keep machine and site interfaces clear

Ask for a project drawing and equipment list identifying the drive arrangement, hopper, discharge and service areas. This gives the site team a defined basis for electrical and handling coordination.

  • Record the proposed drive ratings and destination supply in the project documents, with control interfaces defined for connected equipment.
  • Provide access to the drive and cutter components for inspection and maintenance under the machine-specific isolation procedure.
  • Identify material contaminants that affect wear, cleaning or separation so the maintenance and supporting-equipment scope can be reviewed.

FY-SS02-600D Dual-Drive Dual-Shaft Shredder — practical questions

Can I use the 600S drive value for either 600D motor?

No. The 600D drive ratings are project-specific. Obtain the ratings and operating conditions for the actual proposal instead of transferring the single-drive reference.

Will dual drive double the throughput?

That cannot be inferred from the arrangement. Material engagement, cutters, loading and discharge can limit the result independently of the number of drives.

What makes a fair comparison with the 600S?

Use the same material description, difficult pieces, loading method and output criteria. Compare the proposed hardware and the complete process evidence under those shared conditions.

Prepare your FY-SS02-600D review

Send material photographs, the most difficult expected pieces and the process information above. Final specifications, options and acceptance criteria should be recorded in the project quotation and approved drawings.
