Choose a shredder around your material

FYXFER SHRED brings together compact machines for suitable production scrap and heavy-duty systems for more demanding industrial waste. Begin with the pieces you need to process, the required output and your working conditions. These details determine the machine, cutting arrangement and handling equipment.

FY-SS01: compact production-scrap reduction

The FY-SS01 range covers seven configurations: one mini model, three standard compact models and three integrated two-stage models. Review the material grade, maximum dimensions, thickness and contamination before selecting a configuration.

FY-SS01-180: small pieces and low-volume work

The mini model is a starting point for small offcuts, light intermittent work and workshops with limited space. Its published reference drive is 1.5 kW. Confirm that the complete feed pieces and planned loading method suit the cutting chamber and guarding.

FY-SS01-300 / 400 / 500: routine factory scrap

These models provide compact options for suitable runners, trims, offcuts and rejected plastic parts. Their published reference drives are 3 kW, 4 kW and 7.5 kW respectively.

  • FY-SS01-300: a starting point for regular, manageable plastic production scrap.
  • FY-SS01-400: review for larger routine parts or a more demanding cutting task.
  • FY-SS01-500: review for bulkier, consistent feed within a compact production workflow.

Drive power alone does not establish processing capacity. Confirm the feed geometry, cutter arrangement, required output and operating duty together.

FY-SS01-300-2S / 400-2S / 500-2S: integrated secondary reduction

The two-stage models use an integrated four-shaft system with upper and lower cutting stages for projects requiring primary tearing followed by further reduction. Discuss the downstream process and acceptable output condition before choosing this route. Final output size and throughput require confirmation with representative material.

FY-SS02: heavy-duty project configurations

FY-SS02 uses a low-speed, high-torque dual-shaft approach for suitable bulky, tough, mixed or irregular industrial feed. Counter-rotating cutters grip, tear and shear the material before discharge to collection or the next process.

The published project classes are FY-SS02-600S, 600D, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400 and 1600. The model code does not define a universal power, opening or throughput. The hopper, shafts, cutters, drive, guarding and controls follow the approved application.

Feeding and discharge conveyors, separation equipment and control interfaces can be reviewed as part of the process. Describe the most difficult expected pieces and the equipment before and after the shredder.

Route What to establish first Individual model pages
Mini and standard compact Whether complete production-scrap pieces suit the chamber, feeding clearance and cutting task. FY-SS01-180, FY-SS01-300, FY-SS01-400, FY-SS01-500

FY-SS02 cutting-chamber reference. Cutter geometry and the complete cutting arrangement depend on the confirmed material and project.
  1. Prepare: identify the waste stream, separate different materials where needed and disclose contaminants before loading.
  2. Present the feed: review whole-piece dimensions, orientation and manual or mechanical loading. A nominal hopper dimension is not a permitted maximum workpiece size.
  3. Reduce: match the cutter arrangement and drive to the material and the required primary or secondary reduction task.
  4. Move the output: define collection, conveying, sorting or further processing so the discharge route supports the complete workflow.

Can one model cover every material shown in a demonstration?

A demonstration is useful context, but it does not establish a tested material range for every configuration. Match the material grade, dimensions, contamination and output requirement before applying a video result to your own project.

Should I choose the largest drive available?

Compare the whole configuration. Material engagement, cutter geometry, feeding consistency and downstream handling can limit the useful result even when motor power increases. State the required workload as a target for review, rather than a capacity inferred from a model number.

Prepare your selection review

Send material photos, normal and maximum piece dimensions, thickness, contamination, hourly or shift volume, desired output and feeding method. Include available space and destination power supply.

Published values describe reference configurations. The quotation, approved drawings and agreed acceptance criteria define the final supply.
